A better day in Gaborone thanks to Letshego as 1.6m shares changed hands in the name.
Another impressive day in Nairobi on the activity front with large foreign crosses in Safcom ($6.7m), EABL ($5.1m) and EQBNK ($3.4m) driving proceedings. Safcom's impressive bounce from the lows of last week continued with the telco closing the day +5.19% higher at KES 18.25. EABL also managed to close the day higher thanks to foreign demand, with the brewer gaining +0.47%.
Another sub-par day in port Louis with some small activity in MCBG and SBMH, but nothing to write home about.
Another day without a single name breaking the $1m turnover mark with no decent crosses worth mentioning. Both banking (+1.33%) and consumer (+0.30%) stocks closed the day in positive territory, albeit on tiny volume.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A much better day in Harare thanks to some activity in the local Econet rights ($746k) while the rest of the market remains quiet.
