Nothing much to report from Gaborone with turnover amounting to a dull $102k.
An absolute nothing day in Nairobi in terms of activity as turnover amounted to a dull $2m with activity pretty much evenly split between locals and foreigners. There was some small action in EQBNK as 2.5m shares changed hands while the rest of the market was extremely dull and no other names worth mentioning.
A dull start to the month in Lagos. In fact, if it wasn’t for 1 or 2 early crosses it would have been even more pathetic. Banks gained 98bps for the day with a couple of large crosses going through in Zenith (+1.70%, N17.90) and UBA (-29bps, N3.49) while the rest of the sector was quiet. Consumers closed marginally in the red (-37bps) although outside of NB (-26bps, N136.50) the sector was also painfully quiet.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another dire start to the week with turnover amounting to $94k and nothing to report from Harare.
