A fairly active day in Gaborone thanks to crosses in the likes of Sechaba (2800t) and Letshego (273t) while there was muted action in FNBB (360t).
Not a bad start to the week with turnover amonting to $9.4m as locals dominated proceedings. KNCB managed to close higher and gained +0.9% on the back of foreign demand ahead of Q3 2014 results out on Wednesday. EABL closed firmly on the front foot as the brewer gained +2.1% on the back of foreign purchases. Foreigners dominated proceedings in Safcom as 7.18m shares traded in the telco ahead of H1 2015 results due out tomorrow after the session. EQBNK (-1.0%) was weak on the back of local selling.
Another solid day in Port Louis in terms of market activity with decent volumes seen across the board. MCBG closed marginally lower at Rs208.50 while SBMH closed unchanged at Rs1.04. ENL Land shed 1% to Rs49.50 while Ciel gained 2.63% to Rs7.80.
A below average day in Lagos as turnover amounted to $19.9m. There was some action in the likes of NB ($4.2m), DangeCem ($2.4m), Transcorp ($1.58m), Zenith ($1.28m) and Nestle ($1.24m). Banks were strong and managed to gain +1.80% thanks to UBA (+5.26%) and Zenith (+5.00%) while FBNH (-2.42%) closed lower. Consumers (-0.94%) were weak thanks to PZ Cussons (-9.73%), Unilever (-4.99%), Cadbury (-4.98%) and 7UP (-3.03%). Cements were also very weak with WAPCO falling -4.99% while DangCem fell -1.16%.

Another quiet day in Harare. Almost all the action took place in Econet (68c) while there was also a smidgeon of trading in Seedco (90c).
