Some activity in Letshego (268t) and FNBB (360t) about the only excitement in Gaborone today.
A much better day in terms of activity as turnover increased to $8.7m thanks to increased foreign participation (56.8%). Foreign demand (99% of purchases) in Safcom drove the telco +0.7% higher as 17.65m shares traded. Purchases were evenly split between locals and foreigners in EABL as the brewer gained +0.7% on 449k shares. The theme continued in KNCB and EQBNK as the former closed unchanged while the latter fell -2.1% with foreigners still clearly favouring KNCB.
The Sem-10 shed 26bps today with weakness in SBMH (-96bps, Rs1.03), Gamma Civic (-1.6%, Rs46.00) and Alteo (-73bps, Rs34.00). MCBG closed unchanged at Rs202.75.
A much better day in Lagos as turnover increased to $24.9m on the back of renewed foreign interest. There were large crosses in the likes of Zenith ($7.78m), FBNH ($2.57m), GTB ($2.32m), Nestle ($1.71m) and ETI ($1.22m). Banks had a good day from a performance point of view as well with the Index gaining +2.06% thanks to UBA (+4.49%), GTB (+4.40%) and FBNH (+1.38%). Consumers (+0.57%) finally managed to close higher thanks to PZ Cussons (+9.91%) and Flour Mills (+4.99%).

Some aggressive buying on decent size came to play in Harare today. The bulk of the action took place in the large caps; Innscor (60c), CBZ (13c), Econet (68.9c) and Delta (113c).
