An absolutely dire start to the week from an activity point of view with foreigners all but absent as turnover amounted to $1.4m. The little foreign trading that took place was in the likes of KNCB (-0.9%) and Safcom (+0.4%) as 399k shares and 1.22m shares traded in the names respectively.
Another fairly decent day in terms of activity. MCBG finally rose after last weeks softness albeit by only 25bps to Rs203.50. SBMH closed unchanged at Rs1.04.
A very dull start to the week in Lagos as turnover amounted to $13.6m. There was some activity in the likes of Zenith ($2.19m), NB ($1.84m), Oando ($1.27m) and GTB ($1.17m). Banks closed slightly higher with the Index gaining +0.30% with FBNH (+2.56%) the main catalyst. Consumers (+0.84%) also closed on the front foot with good gains in PZ Cussons (+4.56%), GSK (+1.96%) and NB (+1.75%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Some decent action in Harare for a change. The bulk of the trading took place in Delta (113c) followed by mild activity in Econet (69c) and CBZ (13c).
