Another average day in Gaborone as turnover amounted to $676k thanks mostly to Letshego as 2.28m shares traded in the name.
Another solid day from an activity point of view as turnover amounted to $9.0m thanks to an increase in foreign participation (70%). Foreign demand (95%) continues to drive KNCB as the name closed +1.8% higher on 3.02m shares. Foreigners also dominated both sides of Safcom as the teclo gained +1.8% on 12.09m shares. There was finally some respite in EQBNK as the bank closed +2.7% higher with foreigners showing renewed interest in the name. Foreigners accounted for all of the purchases in EABL as the brewer closed +1% higher.
Another very active day in Port Louis as turnover increased to $3.51m thanks to some large crosses in MCBG (277k shares), SBMH (25.8m shares) and NMH (176k shares) while the rest of the market was relatively quiet.
Another absolutely mammoth day in Zenith ($17.61m) as a total of 149m shares traded in the name thanks to a number of large crosses. There was also some decent activity in the likes of GTB ($6.2m), FBNH ($5.55m), NB ($3.76m), Oando ($2.78m) and ETI ($2.38m). Banks were on the charge today as the Index gained +1.18% thanks to FBNH (+4.62%), ETI (+4.59%) and UBA (+4.09%). Consumers (+2.90%) finally had a very strong day with good gains in PZ Cussons (10.25%), Flour Mills (+4.98%), Dangote Sugar (+4.88%), Nestle (+4.08%) and NB (+3.06%).

Things slowed down drastically in Harare as turnover amounted to $1.07m thanks to some action in Delta ($594k) and Padenga ($321k) while the rest of the market was very quiet. The market continued to fall with the Industrial Index closing -0.4% lower.
