A decent day in Nairobi in terms of activity while the NSE 20 had another bullish day as foreign investors returned to the market. The large cap names were the focal point of todays activity with Safcom (+2.7%, KES13.35) the most active name. The banks also had an active day as we saw Equity Bank close at KES50.25 (+1.5%) and KNCB close up 90bps at KES55.50. BATK saw a decent foreign cross although the name ended the sessions down at KES989.00. EABL was quieter than normal yet still ended the day at KES294 (+70bps).
Another very active day in Port Louis as turnover amounted to $3.46m thanks to some action in the likes of MCBG (258k shares), Ciel (2.27m shares) and NMH (126k shares) while only 2.53m shares traded in SBMH.
Another active day in Lagos with the banking bull run finally coming to an end (-65bps) although consumers continue to rally aggressively (+2.47%). The day started with some massive crossing in Dangcem at various prices with the cement maker finally closing at N169.75 (-25bps). Wapco continues to rise and ended the day up 3.71% at N81.00. All Tier 1 banks closed the session marginally in the red with most of the action taking place once again in the likes of GTB (-69bps, N24.43), Zenith (-33bps, N21.00) and FBNH (-28bps, N10.51). The consumers continue to rally hard with decent action once again witnessed in NB (+5.16%, N164.98) and Nestle (-1.62%, N910.00). Oando was another active stock as the name closed at limit up N21.68 (+10.22%).

Not a bad day in Harare with activity centered around Econet ($634k), Delta (538k) and Old Mutual with total value traded amounting to $1.5m while the market closed lower with the Industrial Index falling -0.37%.
