Nothing happened in the market today
A quiet end to the week in Nairobi as foreign sellers pushed the market slightly lower. The most active name by a long way was Safcom which saw some chunky foreign selling throughout the day as the telco closed down 2.8% at KES15.90 and looked weak at the close. Equity Bank also saw a nice cross as the banking group gained 1.6% to KES48.25. KNCB grabbed the coattails and gained 2.4% to KES63.00 albeit on tiny volumes.
Indices closed off in negative territory on 372.20 points. SBM traded a total of 28m shares closing the week firm at Rs0.96 after trading at a VWAP of Rs0.94 during the session. Total market turnoff was buoyed by MCBG, which closed up by 0.5% at Rs199.00 after exchanging a total of 659k shares.
A quieter session today outside of the $18m book over in Diamond Bank (+2.76%, N4.47) while we finally saw some demand in the banking and consumer sectors which closed up 1.21% and 2.04% respectively. The most active stocks were FBNH (+0.11%, N9.51), GTB (+1.82%, N28.01) and Zenith Bank (+2.26%, N23.52). Unilever released poor Q1-15 results which saw PAT and PBT decline by 20.65% and 21.34% respectively.

ZWtA good day from a turnover point of view in Harare. Dawn traded a total of 459m shares to close up by 10% at 110c ($9.1m). Chunky volumes were seen in Econet (unch, 50c), Ok Zim (+3.77%, 11c) and Seedco (-1.48%, 100c) each trading a total of 1.8m, 1.1m and 117k shares respectively.ext
