Choppies, FNBB and Lethlole were the most active stocks today after trading a total of 862k, 1m and 10m shares respectively.
KCB (+2.38%, KES64.50), Equity Bank (-1.56%, KES47.75) and Safcom (+0.94%, KES16.10) were the most active names in todays session as foreign investors remain bullish in the names. KCBs partnership with Safcom has proved fruitful after announcing that their product has mobilized 640,000 Customers, as a result KCB is expected to release Q1 results shortly. BATK emerged as the notable loser of the day after closing down 6.98% at KES689.
MCBG mostly traded at Rs199 during the session before closing up 0.1% at Rs199.25 on the back of 269k shares. On the contrary, SBM lost 1.0% closing the session at Rs0.95 after trading a total of 15.2m shares. All indices closed the session in negative territory.
A very dull day in Lagos with a lack of interest across the board. Banks closed down by 2.34% erasing all of yesterdays gain. Tier 1 names did see some reasonable activity led by Zenith (-2.93%, N23.20), GTB (-2.23%, N28.00) and FBNH (unch, N9.50). Consumers ended the day unchanged with activity centered on NB (+1.18%, N172.00) and Nestle (-4.42%, N948.00).

Turnover was mainly geared towards Delta (+0.53%, 104c), Econet (unch, 50c) and Natfoods (unch, 316c) contributing $229k, $309k and $364k respectively. Overall it was a good day on the bourse as 16 counters registered trades as compared to six in the previous session.
