Some small activity in Sechaba the only name worth mentioning as 102k shares changed hands.
Some activity in Safcom (-0.50% at KES 18.50, a new 4-month closing low) the only name (yet again) worth mentioning from an activity point of view as 18.4m shares traded in the telco. The two major banking stocks ended the day mixed on low volume with KNCB closing unchanged while EQBNK fell -1.7%. Nothing to report on EABL.
Much of the same in Port Louis with some small activity in SBMH as 1.3m shares changed hands.
Another dull day to kickoff the week in Lagos with no decent crosses worth noting. On the positive side, banking stocks started the week off strong with the sector gaining +4.04% thanks to UBA (+4.91%) and Zenith (+4.87%). Consumers (-0.18%) closed slightly lower with some weakness in 7UP (-5.00%) and Cadbury (-4.95%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another slow start to the week in Harare with some small action in Econet ($133k).
