Another slow day in Gaborone.
Once again trading activity was heavily dominated by Safcom (-1.1%, KES 18.00) with about half the total market turnover changing hands in the telco. Outside of this we saw action in the likes of EABL (-40bps, KES 223.00) and KNCB (-90bps, KES 27.00). There was also a cross in KNRE while general sentiment across the market remains weak.
Activity continued to increase in Port Louis, albeit very slowly, with the usual suspect MCBG dominating proceedings as 50k shares changed hands. There was also some small activity in SBMH as 1.2m shares traded.
Another abject day in Lagos with absolutely nothing happening. Banks (+73bps) inched higher albeit in tiny volumes. In fact, the only action was a cross in the very illiquid UBN (-4.21%, N5.00). Consumers dripped lower by 29bps on scraps.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another quiet day with nothing much to report from Harare.
