Some action in Choppies (241t) dominated a generally lackluster day.
Another atrocious day in Kenya as interest remains low. As we have seen for most recent sessions, the lion’s share (72%) of the total market turnover went through in Safcom (-30bps, KES 17.95) as the telco continues to drift lower. The only other stock that showed even a sliver of trading was EqBnk which fell by 1.9% to KES 26.25.
A dull day in Port Louis with nothing major to report back on.
Another rank average day with little interest in the bourse especially from foreign participants. Banks (+93bps) crept higher yet again with GTB (-8bps, N23.98) once again the most active stock. Consumers fell by 94bps and most of this can be attributed to the total lack of interest in the sector. In terms of crossing activity there was some action in Forte Oil (-9.20%, N73.99).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Some small activity in Delta ($111k) the only name worth mentioning in Harare.
