Not much to report in Nairobi as foreigners remain largely absent as turnover amounted to $3.4m. Locals dominated proceedings in Centum as 985k shares traded with the name gaining +4.8% after they announced that the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Petition Committee had ruled in favour of its Consortium (Centum and Gulf Energy Consortium), regarding the development and operation of the Lamu 1,000 MW coal power plant. There was some foreign activity in KNCB and EABL as 735k shares and 104k shares traded in the names respectively.
A dull day in Port Louis as turnover amounted to $870k with some activity in MCBG (50k shares) and NMH (52k shares) the only names worth mentioning.
Another soft day in Lagos with volumes remaining very thin. Banks (-1.24%) and consumers (-2.23%) remain on the back foot. Most of the banking stocks ended the day in the red with particular weakness in Access (-8.60%, N4.78), UBA (-4.75%, N3.61) and GTB (-3.70%, N19.25) while volumes were focused in FBNH, GTB and Access. The consumers were dominated by NB (-3.74%, N139.00) and Nestle (-1.63%, N799.00). Dangcem spent most of the day at limit down yet finished the day unchanged at N166.40.

Another slow day in Harare as turnover amounted to $262k with some small activity in Delta ($127k) while the Industrial Index gained +0.40%.
