Absolutely nothing to report on today.
A solid enough day to end the week in Nairobi as turnover increased to $7.1m with foreigners dominating proceedings. EQBNK (+1.0%) was the most active name on the day as 4.83m shares traded in the name with foreigners dominating both sides after news that Norfinance is to buy 12.2% of the company. There was also some action in KNCB and Safcom as 2.08m shares and 5.71m shares traded in the names respectively.
Dark clouds continue to hover over the Port Louis as indices close in the red. The notable gainer of the day was MCBG (+0.5%) closing at Rs196 on a meager 490 shares, while SBM maintained its weekly trend to close at Rs1.01 on a total of 396.4k shares traded.
Strength in the banks was the most notable point to take out of todays session despite very quiet volumes across the board. Banks gained 2.89% with good performance in the likes of Zenith (+5%, N16.48), GTB (+2.17%, N17.90) and Access (+3.85%, N5.12). The consumers closed up 18bps despite weakness on big volumes in NB (-71bps, N139.00) and Guinness (-1.52%, N130.00). There was outperformance in UACN (+9.28%, N30.98) and Flourmills (+5%, N35.64).

Seedco closed the day strong on the back of 701,523 shares traded at 100c. Other gainers were Innscor (+5.3%) trading 303,114 shares to close at a price of 57c, Delta (+0.9%) traded 20,869 shares to close at 109c and Seedco registered the highest number of shares, 701,523 in total closing at 18c.
