Botswana: DCI +0.03%, USD 1m
A much better day with some activity in Choppies (1.8m shares) driving proceedings while there was also some small activity in BIHL (164k shares) and Stanchart (122k shares).
Kenya: NSE 20 +0.24%, USD 12.4m
A much better day from an activity point of view as turnover increased to $12.4m thanks mostly to a few big crosses in EABL as 2.04m shares changed hands with the brewer gaining +1.5%. There was also a decent amount of activity in Safcom as 13.4m shares traded with the telco falling -0.9%. Some foreign action on both sides of BATK as 133k shares traded. Both major banking stocks, KNCB and EQBNK were very quiet today.
Mauritius: Semdex +0.43%, USD 1.5m
A decent day from an activity point of view after the long weekend with some action in the likes of MCBG (118k shares), IBL (75k shares) and NMH (301k shares). NMH had another strong day, closing +8.9% higher, taking the YTD gain to +47.7%.
Nigeria: ASI +0.02%, USD 7.5m
Another extremely dull day from an activity point of view in Lagos with some small activity in DangCem ($1.4m), WAPCO ($1.3m) and GTB ($1.1m). Banks closed the day lower with the sector falling -0.92% with losses in ETI (-4.46%) and FBNH (-3.57%). Consumers (+0.95%) managed to close in positive territory thanks to Unilever (+4.99%) and 7UP (+4.12%).

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.94%, USD 85k
An absolutely dull day after yesterday's fun and games with nothing to report.
