Some small activity in Sefalana the only highlight of the day as 130k shares traded.
The market continues to plumb new depths in terms of market activity with less than $2m changing hands, and of that foreigner participants were hardly involved. There honestly was nothing of interest to write home about.
Not much on the go to end the week in Port Louis with some activity in MCBG the only name worth mentioning as 57k shares traded.
Another dire day in Lagos with only a couple of last minute international book-overs giving any semblance of decency to the day’s proceedings. The banks (+77bps) continued to bounce from earlier in the week although volumes are still dire in the sector. The only decent trading took place in GTB (-1.00%, N15.90). The consumers were also strong (+1.10%) but the sector was incredibly thinly traded.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Nothing much to report from Harare with turnover amounting to a dull $107k.
