Not much on the go in Gaborone with some small activity in Turnstar (602k shares) the only name worth mentioning.
A shockingly quiet day in Nairobi with turnover amounting to a dull $2.7m. A small bit of action in KNCB as 3m shares change hands in the name the only counter worth mentioning as the rest of the market was dead quiet.
Activity slowed down in Port Louis, but it was still very decent with some action in MCBG driving proceedings as 261k shares traded in the name. Not much else on the go with SBMH (3.7m shares) and NMH (45k shares) very quiet.
Another pathetic day from an activity point of view with not a single name breaking the $1m mark. Banks closed the day slightly higher with the sector gaining +0.32% thanks to UBA (+1.35%) and GTB (+1.02%). Consumers (+2.36%) had a very solid day, albeit on tiny volume, with good performances in Nestle (+7.69%) and GSK (+5.00%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
An absolutely dire day in Harare.
