A chunky cross in Letshego helped kick of proceedings for the week in Gaborone as 16.1m shares changed hands in the name while the rest of the market was rather quiet.
An absolutely pathetic start to the week in Nairobi. The only trades worth writing home about were a couple of crosses in EABL (-70bps, KES280.00). There was nothing else of interest to note.
Nothing to report from Port Louis with turnover amounting to a dire $300k.
Outside of two large crosses there really was nothing much going on in Lagos today. The main cross was a large local-local cross in Tigerbrands worth more than $20m. There was also a foreign trade in Wapco at N80. As mentioned, normal trading was painfully quiet with virtually nothing notable to bring to your attention. Banks closed down 51bps while consumers fell by 18bps with no large trades going through.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another sluggish start to the week in Harare with nothing worth reporting on.
