Absolutely nothing to report from Gaborone.
A rather sub-par day from an activity point of view as turnover amounted to $5.2m with foreigners accounting for 75.4% of activity. Safcom managed to close +1.0% higher as 10.3m shares changed hands in the telco. The two major banking stocks closed mixed with KNCB closing unchanged while EQBNK fell -1.2%. Not much on the go in EABL as 188k shares traded.
A rather dull day to end the week with some activity in NMH (357k shares) and MCBG (24k shares) driving proceedings while the rest of the market was very quiet.
A much better day in Lagos with turnover amounting to an impressive $44.7m thanks to crosses in Seplat ($23.6m), GTB ($11.4m), NB ($2.2m) and Nestle ($2m). Banking stocks closed the day lower with the sector falling -1.26% with losses in Access (-4.43%) and Zenith (-3.17)%. Consumers (-0.82%) also closed lower thanks to Unilever (-7.02%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another rather dull day in Harare to end the week with Afdis ($311k) the only name worth mentioning.
