Some signs of like (barely) in Gaborone with Letshego (322t) the most active name.

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.60%, USD 8.1m

A much quieter end to the week in Nairobi as foreigners stepped away. There were also some technical issues with the NSE towards the close. The most active name was Centum which saw some local crossing yet again while the large caps definitely saw less action than in previous sessions. Safcom closed unchanged at KES16.00 while EABL closed slightly higher at KES280.00. Banks were mixed as Equity fell to KES44.75 while KNCB closed higher at KES55.00.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.21%, USD 1.99m

Some action in Port Louis to end a generally dull week. The bulk of the action took place in SBMH (-1.1%, Rs0.87) while MCBG closed 20bps higher at Rs213.00.

Nigeria: ASI -0.21%, USD 19.7m

Some action today in a couple of crosses as usual. Banks finally showed some positive life as the sector gained 14bps. The activity was heavily centered in Zenith (+1.28%, N18.95), GTB (+4bps, N26.11) and Access Bank (-1.74%, N5.09). Consumers were still weak as they slipped by a further 57bps with NB (-72bps, N136.51) particularly active. There was a large cross in Wapco (+88bps, N102.00) while Forte Oil (-2.83%, N180.00) was also fairly active.

Zimbabwe: Industrials 0.16%, USD 1.9m

Some signs of life and positivity finally on the ZSE. The bulk of the action took place in Econet (unch, 35c) and Delta (97.25c). The rest of the market was rather muted.
