Foreigners were heavily active in today’s session. The most active name was Safcom (+1.3%, KES15.50) as some chunky foreign crossing went through in the name. There was also some decent action in the normally illiquid NICB (-1%, KES48.00) with locals selling and some foreign buying. The rest of the names were generally muted with no real direction.
A much better day in Port Louis as turnover increased to $2.6m thanks to some crosses in MCBG (195k shares) and SBMH (18.1m shares). There was also some action in the usually illiquid Mauritius Development Investment Trust as 5.5m shares traded.
A mammoth day in Lagos thanks to a couple of chunky foreign crosses in Zenith. Zenith Bank (+68bps, N17.84) accounted for more than $65m today while there was also some decent trading in GTB (-1.92%, N25.50). The consumers rose by 1.06% although volumes in the sector were rather dull.

Another average day in Harare as turnover amounted to $747k with some activity in BAT ($417k) and Seedco ($123k) while the market continues to struggle with the Industrial Index falling -0.18%.
