A great start to the week as crosses in Sechaba (350k shares), Turnstar (2.6m shares) and Sefalana (341k shares) drove proceedings.
The lack of interest in Kenya dragged the index lower. There was nothing exciting to report on outside of some small crosses in EABL (-1.1%, KES 271.00) and Safcom (+1.4%, KES 14.65).
A rather average start to the week as turnover amounted to $1m with MCBG (61k shares) the only name worth mentioning.
A dire start to the week in Lagos as nothing got going with the lack of interest dragging the index lower. Both the banks and the consumers fell by 11bps for the day. The only action in the banks went through in Zenith (+1.46%, N16.70) while the consumers were quiet. Elsewhere we saw some crossing in Wapco (-51bps, N98.00).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A shocking start to the week from a turnover point of view with total value traded amounting to $19k.
