Botswana: DCI +0.09%, USD 343k
Some small action in Choppies (520k shares) the only name worth mentioning as the rest of the market was extremely quiet.
Kenya: NSE 20 -0.54%, USD 7.8m
Not a bad day in Nairobi condidering how quiet markets have been lately as turnover amounted to $7.8m. KNCB was the most active counter on the day as 4.93m shares changed hands in the name with foreigners dominating both sides. There was some small action in Safcom as the telco gained +1.7% on 8.5m shares. EQBNK closed +0.6% higher on 1.38m shares while the rest of the market was very quiet.
Mauritius: Semdex -0.08%, USD 990k
Another quiet day as the bourse failed to break the $1m barrier yet again. The bulk of the action went through yet again in MCBG with the bank closing unchanged at Rs209.00 while Rogers and Co (+60bps, Rs27.35) also saw some action.
Nigeria: ASI -0.42%, USD 17.2m
Another quiet day punctuated by a few crosses – most of this believed to be local selling and foreign buying. There were chunky crosses in Oando (+8.34%, N9.87), Dangcem (-2.60%, N164.55) and Nestle (unch, N830.00). In normal trading we saw the banks fall by 12bps with activity yet again focused on GTB (-21bps, N24.05) and Zenith (-6bps, N17.60). Consumers gained 1.07% and action was in Nestle and NB (+2.05%, N138.02).

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.09%, USD 313k
A quiet day in Harare with only some mild action in Econet (27c) and Delta (82.28c) going through.
