Some activity in Sechaba (101k shares), FNBB (539k shares) and BIHL (138k shares) drove proceedings today while the rest of the market was very quiet.
A decent day in Port Louis, considering that most markets have been so quiet as turnover amounted to $1.9m with action in MCBG (83k shares), NMH (603k shares) and LUX (163k shares) driving proceedings.
Apart from crosses in DangCem ($3.6m), GTB ($2.4m), Zenith ($2.4m) and Access ($2.1m) the market was extremely quiet yet again. Banks managed to close +0.13% higher thanks to Access (+1.89%). Consumers (+0.44%) also managed to close in positive territory thanks mostly to NB (+0.96%), as the rest of the names closed higher on tiny volumes.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another day with absolutely nothing to report on.
