A relatively average day in Gaborone with some action in Letlole (1.77m shares) and Letshego (488k shares) the only names worth mentioning.
Another quiet day in Port Louis. As usual the most active stock was MCBG which inched higher to Rs209.00 while SBMH closed unchanged at Rs0.80.
A much better day in Lagos, but still nothing to write home about as there were a few crosses in the likes of WAPCO ($3.3m), Zenith ($3.2m), Nestle ($2.9m) and Seplat ($2.6m) that drove activity while the rest of the market remained quiet. Banks had a strong day with the sector gaining +1.18% thanks to ETI (+2.46%), Access (+1.85%), FBNH (+1.74%) and GTB (+1.64%). Consumers (-0.13%) closed slightly lower as Unilever (-4.62%) and Guinness (-1.47%) dragged the sector lower.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Some rumblings of life in the Zimbabwe market both in terms of volumes and direction. Activity was spread across a few names with the highlights being Delta (82.31c), Econet (27c) and CBZ (10c).
