Not much on the go in Gaborone with turnover amountin to $184k.
On the face of it, it looked like a rather active day in Nairobi, but this should however be taken with a pinch of salt as EQBNK accounted for 82% of activity thanks to a cross of 16m shares mid-way through the session. The rest of the market was very quiet with pockets of activity in Safcom and KNRE.
Some action in SBMH the only name worth mentioning as 15.9m shares traded while the rest of the market was very quiet yet again.
A rather dire end to the week in Lagos in terms of activity as turnover amounted to $8.5m as DangCem ($1.5m) was the only counter to break the $1m mark. Banks closed in positive territory with the sector gaining +0.25% thanks to GTB (+2.08%) and FBNH (+2.07%). Consumers (-0.20%) closed lower as PZ Cussons (-4.21%) dragged the sector lower.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another slow day in Harare to end the week with turnover amounting to a dull $144k.
