Some solid activity in Safcom ($1.8m) the only name worth mentioning on a very slow start to the trading week in Nairobi as the telco closed +1.1% higher on foreign demand, while the rest of the market was dead quiet.
A solid start to the week on the activity front in Port Louis thanks to some action in MCBG and SBMH as 112k shares and 1.8m shares changed hands in the names respectively.
It is almost as if somone flicked the switch off in Lagos with not a single name breaking the $1m turnover mark, as most market participants were on the sidelines with the upcoming 4th of July celebrations in the U.S. tomorrow. Banking stocks ended the day -1.13% lower while consumers also closed -0.28% in negative territory.

Locals once again dominated trading activity on the Harare bourse. The major action today went through in Seedco ($1.40) and OKZim (9.5c).
