It was a pretty dull day to end the week in Nairobi. The most active name for a change was EABL which witnessed a number of decent crosses. The brewer did inch higher to close at KES249 although the name was well bid and trading at KES251.00 at the close. The only other stock to see any decent trading was KNCB which also rose to close the week at KES39.25.
Yet again MCBG was the most actively traded stock accounting for approximately half of the total turnover. The stock did drip slightly lower and fell to Rs276.00 (-40bps). The rest of the market was quiet.
It was an uneventful week in Nigeria and today session was exactly the same. Banks dripped slightly lower for the week with action focused on UBA (unch, N9.00) and Zenith Bank (-77bps, N21.93). Consumers were painfully quiet. There was some crossing in Dangcem (+45bps, N209.05).

A quiet end to what has actually been a rather active week in Zimbabwe. Today’s market was heavily dominated by Innscor (72.25c).
