Some action in Botswana Telecommunications Corporations Limited ($214k), Primetime ($245k) and Stanchart ($270k) being the main highlights today.
Turnover dropped to by 38% from the previous day. The most active names on the day were SAFCOM (+1.1%), EABL (+1.1%) and BRIT (+8.3%) which were 33%, 28% and 16% of turnover respectively. Foreign participation on the day dropped to 29% from 57% the previous day.
MCBG (unch, Rs274.00) together with POLICY (unch, Rs6.64) accounted for 52% of turnover. SBMH (-1.3%, Rs7.8) was pretty quiet on the bourse today.
The market has rallied for 15 consecutive sessions even though volumes were lower than the previous day. All indices were up with the banks leading the gains (+3.72%) as some decent action was seen in Guaranty (+4.99%, N39.58) and Zenith Bank (+6.67%, N25.60). Industrials were supported by the continuous rise in Dangcem, which closed at a 3-year high of 245.

The index clipped higher today while the turnover was slightly lower with Econet (+2.4%) and Delta (+0.01%) accounting for approximately 50% of turnover.
