Turnstar (-0.01%) and Letshego (unch) were the most active names on the day, accounting for 66% and 32% of turnover respectively.
Turnover was up 16% from the previous day. The most active names on the day were KNCB($1.9m) and SAFCOM ($1.5m) which accounted for 23% and 18% of turnover respectively. Foreign participation on the day was 38%.
Another relatively decent day, thanks to MCBG as 52k shares changed hands in the name while there was also some activity in the very illiquid ENL Land as 73k shares traded.
A very impressive day on the Nigerian bourse today all thanks to some large crosses in the likes of Zenith ($5.11m), UBA ($3.78m), Guaranty ($2.21m), NB ($3.94m), and Nestle ($1.8m). Banking stocks were up once more, but it must be said that there was a sell-off from the day's highs into the close as the sector closed +1.75% higher thanks to Diamond (+4.72%). Consumers (+3.84%) also closed in positive territory on low volume.
