An extremely dull day outside of some crossing in the normally very illiquid Engen (8.00).
Another decent day in Nairobi as foreigners remain net buyers with a net inflow of $918k. Safcom continued its strong run on foreign demand with the telco gaining +2.1% on 26.7m shares. KNCB (+0.6%) closed higher again today on local demand as 4.6m shares traded while banking counterpart EQBNK had a very strong day and gained +2.5% on 754k shares.
Another day of decent activity in the Indian Ocean Island. The major activity was once again focused on the banks with SBMH closing unchanged at Rs0.68 and MCBG gaining 40bps to Rs212.00.
Activity continued to increase today, but remained well below par with some activity in Zenith ($2.6m), NB ($2.1m) and GTB ($2.1m). DangCem continues its strong run and closed the day +5% higher. Banks had another decent day with the sector gaining +1.70% thanks to some strength in UBA (+6.71%) and Access (+4.81%). Consumers (-1.14%) closed the day lower with some pressure on 7UP (-5.00%) and NB (-3.73%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A much more active day in Harare than what we have been seeing in recent times. There were crosses in OKZ (3.52c) and Innscor (18.08c).
