Some action in Letshego (250t) about the only excitement on a rather uneventful day.
Another quiet day in Kenya. In fact, if it was not for a one-off cross in Bamburi (both sides foreign) then the day would hardly have been worth turning up for. In normal trading we saw some mild activity in Safcom (-60bps, KES16.70) and Equity Bank (+1.4%, KES285.00).
Nothing on the go in Port Louis today with some activity in MCBG the only name worth mentioning as 52k shares changed hands.
Another woeful day in Lagos as the market continues to limp along with no clear catalyst. Banks fell by 2.62% although outside of GTB (+28bps, N14.48) the sector was extremely quiet. Similarly, the consumers fell by 1.98% although outside of NB (-4.32%, N107.00) there was nothing going on. The rest of the market was dull.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A much better day in Harare with most of the action centered around Padenga ($678k) after they released FY 2015 results while the rest of the market was rather quiet.
