A very dull day in Gaborone except for some small trading in Sechaba (2920t).
Nothing much to report from Kenya. The main action went through in EABL (-1.1%, KES265.00) while Safcom (+30bps, KES16.10) saw a little action as well. The rest of the market was eerily quiet.
Outside of some action in MCBG (+20bps, Rs204.00) the market was rather lethargic.
A very active day in Lagos as some buying did return although most stocks still ended up taking a hammering. Banks fell by a mammoth 7.01% (down 18.67% for the week) with chunky action seen in GTB (-9.72%, N13.37) and Zenith (-9.67%, N9.44). Consumers fell by a more muted 44bps with names like Nestle (-5%, N740.05), GSK (-5%, N166.25) and NB (+5%, N96.90) seeing the bulk of the action. Cements were also active with both Dangcem (-3.75%, N133.00) and Flourmills (-5%, N86.75) seeing good volumes.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A dull day in Harare with just some crossing at 11c in CBZ going through.
