A quiet day in Nairobi. The bulk of the action took place in KNCB with the bank falling by 70bps to KES38.00. There was also a decent foreign-foreign cross in BATK at KES800.00 (unch). There was also more muted action in EABL (+1.9%, KES265), Safcom (-70bps, KES15.15) and EqBnk (-70bps, KES37.75).
A much better day in Port Louis thanks once again to MCBG as 216k shares traded in the name while there was a small bit of activity in SBMH as 8.4m shares traded.
Another pathetic day in Lagos with selling pretty much across the board. The banks (-4.57%) got hammered with all Tier 1 names closing in the red. Activity was led by GTB (-4.0%, N15.35) and Zenith (-7.59%, N11.20). Consumers were also weak and fell by 2.00%. However, activity in the sector was painfully quiet.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another dull day in Harare with some small activity in Delta ($324k).
