Not a bad way to end the week in Gaborone, but this should however be taken with a pinch of salt with all the activity taking place in an unusual name WIL which accounted for 97% of turnover
The market ended the week on a negative note with EABL (-3.6%) and KNCB (-1.33%) the major names dragging the market lower. SAFCOM (+1.01%) and KNCB accounted for a total of 70% of turnover on the day.
The indices closed the week south with both the Semdex and the Sem-10 down -10bps. Turnover was mainly geared towards MUA, MCBG and SBM altogether making up 55.8%. MUA was up 2.6% to closed atRs60.00 with 150k shares exchanging hands while MCBG (unch, Rs278) closed flat again today. SBMH closed up +0.3% at Rs7.78
The market closed the week higher as all indices were up except the Oil & Gas index, which was dragged lower by Forte Oil. Turnover remained weak while crosses in Stanbic, Guinness and Nestle dominated the action on the day.

Another very active day in Harare as turnover amounted to a very impressive $10.6m. Econet ($2.97m) and Delta ($2.65m) leading proceedings. There was also decent activity in Axia ($1.75m) and Innsco ($956k). The industrial index was up 3.05% buoyed by gains in Delta (3.5%), Econet (5%), FMHL (7%) and PPC (7%). Demand for equities by locals remains very firm.
